We’re sure all of you have heard of afternoon tea. Traditionally, it involves a selection of classic English sandwiches, scones with jam and cream and of course, a pot of your preferred tea. That all sounds fine and dandy, but it doesn’t scream Yard & Coop, does it? A fried chicken afternoon tea, however, now that sounds like something we could put our name to. We’ve come up with what we believe is the best afternoon tea Leeds city centre has to offer.
Introducing our 3-tiered chicken feast that is fit for a king or queen, served with our signature buttermilk chicken breast, dirty bird style. It’s the ultimate fried chicken pile up.
The bottom tier is made of a Dirty Bird for two: A bowl full of fries loaded with cheese sauce, buttermilk fried chicken and crispy bacon. Smothered with our spicy Bee’s Knees, Dr Pepper BBQ and blue cheese sauces.
The middle tier has Mini Burger buns with buttermilk fried chicken and adobo chilli mayo, Grandma’s stuffing balls and our signature Amaizeballs served with a selection of our homemade chicken gravy and Korean sauces.
The top tier will finish you off nicely with an assortment of cupcakes, fresh strawberries, a mountain of marshmallows and chocolate dipping sauce.
A gin serve from our BOOZE menu is also included in the afternoon tea in Leeds, which is served in a huge balloon glass (we don’t scrimp on portions here).
If you’re up for testing our claims that we have the best afternoon tea Leeds city centre has to offer, then get your ass down to Yard & Coop as soon as possible. You’ll find us on Merrion Street, right next to Trinity Shopping Centre, the perfect place to stop off in between your shopping.
