Meet Rubies in the Rubble

In the UK, around 9.5 million tonnes of food is wasted annually.

That’s a whole lot, and Rubies in the Rubble set out to tackle it.

They believe there’s always a more sustainable way to create from what we have. In a throwaway society, they embrace the imperfect; in a cycle of surplus, they create second life.

That’s why we love Rubies (and their sauces are bloody delicious, obviously).

We’ve teamed up with the sauce-makers to bring their ketchup to the Coop. The planet’s fave condiment, re-worked to be better for the planet.

RUBIES IN THE RUBBLE TOMATO KETCHUP

Rubies’ Ketchup matches (or exceeds, in our opinion) the best in taste, quality, and consistency – and it’s sustainable. By adding fruit and veg that would have otherwise been discarded, this little red bottle packs a green punch. Double the fruit, half the sugar.

Yard and Coop is the home of buttermilk fried chicken. Everyone says so. But, why does that mean we can’t get a lil spicy sometimes?

HOMEMADE BEEF CHILLI HAS RIDDEN INTO TOWN.

We’ve been through the valley on a horse with no name, and we’re back from the Wild West with a good god damn chilli.

Tender, juicy ground beef cooked up real good in our secret spices. Smoky, spicy, Tex-Mex deliciousness made fresh in house daily. Better than your Dad’s recipe (every dad has one).

Buttermilk fried chicken thigh, smokey homemade beef chilli & crunchy Doritos drenched in our world famous cheese sauce. Served with fries and a big ol’ pot of cheese sauce & chilli. Dip it if ya nasty.

Skin on fries loaded with our secret recipe homemade beef chilli. Piled high with cheese sauce, pickled jalapeños & melty cheese. Get in ma belly.

LIL' NUGGETS OF HEAVEN

As if 2021 wasn’t hard enough, we took the halloumi Not Chicken Nuggets off our menu. Bloody bastards, weren’t we? We’re ashamed. Genuinely soz.

Luckily, 2022 is THE year. We’re making it up to you all in epic style. Basically – you asked, we listened.

The best part?

THEY’RE BETTER THAN EVER.

We’ve made some much needed tweakments, and these precious nugz are now in their final evolved form. Now made with talgani cheese (similar to that which must not be named), the little guys have a softer texture and a richer, creamier flavour.

Tasty, salty, fried to crisp golden perfection and served with a house dip of your choosing. Get nugged.

We know your Mum’s Sunday dinners are unbeatable but let’s give her the day off and treat her to the next best thing.

Not one’s to opt for the traditional, we’ve taken the classic cream tea and flipped it dirty bird style.

That’s right, our three-tiered fried chicken feast is fit for any Queen in your life served with one of our most loved dishes, the Dirty Bird. Our afternoon tea also includes some of our signature sides, sweet treats and a selection of all our homemade sauces for dunking.

Our ultimate buttermilk fried chicken pile up is made of a Dirty Bird for two: A bowl full of fries loaded with cheese sauce, buttermilk fried chicken and crispy bacon. Smothered with our spicy Bee’s Knees, Dr Pepper BBQ and blue cheese sauces.

The middle tier has mini burger buns with buttermilk fried chicken and adobo chilli mayo, Grandma’s stuffing balls and our signature Amaizeballs served with a selection of our homemade chicken gravy and Korean sauces.

The top tier will finish you off nicely with an assortment of cupcakes, fresh strawberries, a mountain of marshmallows and chocolate dipping sauce.

Now it wouldn’t be very Yard & Coop without adding some booze would it? Yes oh yes, our Dirty Bird Afternoon Tea also comes complete with a gin cocktail.
